I have to say we came in with a large group, and the service was beyond wonderful! The food was even better!
The waiter was probably in my top 5 favorites. He really handled all of us efficiently. There was always a smile on his face.
Could not have asked for a better experience. We are future patrons for life. -

Great Mexican Seafood restaurant. Very lively atmosphere with awsome food and a full bar. Haven't tried a dish here that i didn't like.
Get there early, because San Antonio knows how awesome this place is so it's always busy.
I will back going back soon... Better see you there! -

I am originally from California & have been trying to find a seafood restaurant that has more coastal flavors than Sea Island or Pappadeaux & found it!!
You can get grilled or fried, and so so many choices. The Ceviche reminded me of homemade pacific style ceviche, fresh, delicious & yummy, (we shared a medium between two of us & it was still too large).
The main reason I love this restaurant is that the main feature is the fish or shrimp, no heavy sauces needed to hide the fresh coastal flavors. I will definitely be back!! -

I hands down love this place. I have been here time and time again and the food is always delicious. I love the crackers and tostadas that they give with the different hot sauces. The seafood is so delicious and so are the non seafood items. The drinks are good and the vibe is very traditional Mexican. The last time we were here we got the ceviche bandera (not pictured) which is three types of ceviche, red, white, and green sauce bases. We also got one of the molcajetes which had chicken shrimp and fish- oh so good the sauce it came in was amazing. Also pictured here are the pachanga beers with shrimp and Japanese peanuts, onions and like a chamoy sauce. The portions here are generous and the staff is always nice. Definitely a San Antonio must if you haven't been.

Really great time at El Bucanero. Second visit but first to this location. Had more of a dining experience this time. The CEVICHE is King here! Just watch the plates go by and you'll see remarkable dishes that each look like a new favorite. I had Sopa de Maricos, WOW! Super flavorful and plenty of food for the price. Margarita was phenomenal too. Friends loved their dishes. Seriously, not one unhappy person at our table. Service was freakishly fast and so southernly friendly! The place was packed and a little loud. Prices for some dishes and drinks were a little high. Atmosphere was what you'd expect and we loved it.
